I don't see how it would be suicide unless you think America would turn into the Wild West if police weren't carrying guns, or that the police not carrying guns is the same thing as not having police as someone said.

Because any criminal knows they can just outgun the cops or use violence to get away with their crimes... Law abiding citizens that were already minding their own business aren't going to go out and start shooting people.

But the criminal elements that already exist would take a drastic turn for the worse.

At the end of the day Blake was wrong and insane to go inside his vehicle like that as cops were attempting to detain him.

The dumb cops should have fully detained him before it ever got to that point but all parties involved made some very bad choices here.

I don't know why anyone, black or otherwise, would try to evade police and get in their vehicle in the middle of an apprehension and not expect police to potentially use lethal force.

Lots of cop killing videos start off with a suspect reaching inside the vehicle.

That's like rule #1 as a black man dealing with the cops is don't give them a reason to think you're going for a weapon. Blake did precisely that for God knows why.

That said, it was pretty quiet when the BLM protestors in Seattle killed the two black children in their #CHOP zone. A 16 year old and a 12 or 13 year old were executed by liberal protesters for no reason and no one gave a damn.

Zimmerman admitted he was stalking Trayvon through the neighborhood and then confronted him.... to me that's instigation. You can't pick a fight then stand your ground.

It was WRONG for Zimmerman not be convicted.

Biden brags about writing the 94 Crime bill that helped take away more black men's freedom than any time since slavery in combination with the War on Drugs.

Kamala Harris is the self-proclaimed "top cop" and put tons of people in jail for bullshit. She tried to deny evidence that would have freed thousands convicted in drug cases with compromised evidence. She even tried to block the exoneration of a man who was wrongfully on death row.

You're right but right to self-defense is inherent. You absolutely can illegally carry a weapon, shoot someone with it justifiably, and only be charged with illegal weapons possession.

Unless he clearly provoked the fight/attack or initiated violence in the first place, the fact he's illegally carrying a weapon does not give any other human being/citizen the right to physically harm him as they please.

Unless he actually started the aggression, or the prosecution can prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that both he was trying to get them to attack him and he acted in a way that any reasonable person would attack him, then they can't get the charges to stick. End of story.

The facts don't change but I do hope we get more light on this.

I actually believe the kid should be punished but I'm not sure exactly what he should get charged with.

Video footage clearly shows him being attacked so it's hard for me to justify murder.

Though the kid is certainly a racist bootlicking idiot I'm not sure that in and of itself change it from a legal standpoint.

Tamir Rice was not blasted in the 24/7 news cycle like you see these big stories covered around the clock.

Lethal force is a completely unnecessary response to an unarmed guy resisting arrest. If three officers can't subdue and detain one guy without killing him then all three of them need to find a job that better suits their mental and physical attributes. If he was close enough to be "brawling" with them, he was close enough to be detained.

Notice the open and shut cases like Tamir Rice never get publicized like this nationally. Police assassinate a 12 year old in a park before even getting close, they issue no commands, make zero attempts to arrest, and just gun him down as if we were in Afghanistan.

But they use cases like this where both sides were in the wrong to publicize and throw out so people can fight over.

Unfortunately based on the footage, despite the fact the officers did a piss poor job detaining him before he got to his vehicle, he did indeed ignore police, resist them, and reach inside his vehicle. It was incredibly stupid on his part as well.

Plenty of cops have been shot by people who went to their vehicle to grab a weapon. I honestly don't understand what he was thinking at that point.

Simply having a weapon isn't wrong nor is it illegal.

Now if the person is BRANDISHING the weapon, if they're THREATENING with the weapon, or if they're AIMING the weapon that's one thing.

The weapon in and of itself is not a justification that they're a piece of shit.

This is literally the same logic that was used to demonize the Black Panthers and that is still used to this day to vilify armed black people.

I am a black gun owner and the same way I don't want someone to justify shooting or attacking me because I'm armed, I'm not going to do the same to someone else.

Notice in the news they always say "it was an unarmed black man" as if the black man being armed would justify his murder.

Philando Castile was an armed black man who was shot dead for no reason even though he was an NRA member and he legally had his weapon in the vehicle. Someone being armed is not a justification for demonizing them.
